We at BTV News are
committed to giving you fair, accurate and balanced reporting.
In line with
the country's Vision 2016, BTV News aims at ensuring that Batswana are properly
informed, educated and become innovative.
BTV has two news bulletins a day.
The Setswana news comes first at 7.00pm and is followed by the English news at
9.00pm. Each bulletin is 20 minutes long.
When the station was launched on
July 31st, 2000, the first programme that went on air was the Setswana news
bulletin.
Satellite News gathering technology enables us to bring you stories
from other parts of Botswana, limited as we are.
There is no doubt in our
minds that BTV news is perhaps the most watched show in the station. So to those
who wonder about editorial independence and integrity we say, watch us and judge
for yourself for indeed the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
We hope to
increase our offering to half an hour as we get more resources.
